About

What is the Hillsboro Community Backpack Program?

This program helps students of Hillsboro Elementary School in Hillsboro, Tennessee by sending them home with supplemental weekend meals. It became a concern that many students were not getting enough food over the weekend breaks and were arriving Monday mornings hungry, irritable, and unable to focus.

This program is run by donations and volunteers so every little bit helps. It takes approximately $3.50 per week per child. We currently have between 40 and 50 children participating and are expanding. The more you give, the more the program can give. Scroll down to learn more or to donate.
