We actively search for local bands, musicians, and songwriters who have music for sale and are willing to donate the proceeds of one of their songs to the Hillsboro Community Backpack Program.

Buy a Song, Feed a Child represents all those in the Middle Tennessee Music community who support the Hillsboro Backpack program and wish to aid in its mission and growth.

Only through growth can we begin to help more families during these rough economic times.

It became a concern that many students were not getting enough food over the weekend breaks and were arriving Monday mornings hungry, irritable, and unable to focus.

This program is run by donations and volunteers so every little bit helps. It takes approximately $3.50 per week per child. We currently have between 40 and 50 children participating and are expanding. The more you give, the more the program can give.
